The ecological perspective includes us, but doesn’t end with us.

What is Rewilding?

Rewilding is an approach to conservation that emphasizes perspective and action for the restoration of environmental habitats towards a more natural, or “uncultivated” state.

For us, rewilding means bringing wild spaces, places rich in life and biodiversity, back into connection with the human driven world. Rewilding makes space for the natural world to exist alongside our collective progressing future.

The Importance of Rewilding

There are virtually no parts of Earth left untouched by thousands of years of human interference. That perspective suggests to us that there is no stewardship for our home that is without need of our direct help. While The Rewilding Collective strives for a world that is truly wild and rich in biodiversity, we understand that we must all be a helping hand in creating integrity for our land that will make it resilient and self-sustaining.

With thoughtful ideas on how we achieve these ecological goals, we can look to the past as an influence for our future, and use both to determine where we are right now. With collaboration from the community level on up, we believe that “rewilding” can be a philosophy that integrates us back towards ecological harmony for a modern world.
